Who are you today?

Today I am definitely Grumpy... you know...pal of sleepy, happy and sneezy? Grumpy with a big G today - that's me. Can't think of anything else to say much at all. Ever had those days where you can't get past your mood? Trying like heck to think of a way to cheer myself up without spending money... hmmm - nothing yet?

And who are you today?

Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Sneezy, Happy, Bashful or Sleepy (I'm a little Sleepy too)!

Hmm. yesterday, I took a day off because the car was in the shop. I pulled the 3 year old in a wagon to the park. Between the walk through leaves, throwing rocks into the creek (always a fun activity for our kids), playing with dump trucks in the playground and the Snow White induced nap for the 3 year old, it was quite a pick-me-up. I even baked bread!

  2. I'm a combination today... My allergies are kicking up, so that makes me Sneezy... My boss is on vacation and I'm overwhelmed in work and completely befuddled, which means I'm a little Dopey... and things are going well in my life at the moment, which makes me Happy.

    You might say...

    I'm a....

    Dwarf Morph.

    (Sorry. Couldn't resist.)

Well early I was Sleepy but I'm mostly over that now. Then I was Grumpy in a big way. That too I'm mostly over but may come back when I get home and 'talk' with the man. :) Currently trying to be Happy but I'm not very convincing. Oh well. :)

  4. Well, given the completely fried state of my brain this week, I definitely have to say I'm Dopey. Bashful was my camp name when I was in high school, though, so it's a little hard to give that up!

Always Sleepy, that's just a constant state of being! :-)

Yes, most of my life, I've been like that, I think it's a symptom of depression. Anyway it wasn't until I started “Light Therapy” that I actually could feel moods coming on instead of them just hitting me like a ton of bricks. Now I can sometimes divert a bad or sad mood from striking. Still have bad days from time to time, and sometimes have moods I can't get beyond for a day, but oh it is sooo much better now. Moods that last for weeks on end are not good.

Does this happen a lot? Do your moods last more thank a coupe days?

Umm PS. I must be Bashful, since I wrote this right when I read your blog this morning and I’m just now sending it almost 4 hours later.

  7. My negative moods tend to be shorter than they used to be (I think). Light therapy might help but not sure where to get the equipment. I also need to retrain my brain apparently if I can just find the time. Today... still a bit grumpy and sleepy.

The company that make the light box I use is Lighten - up

    http://www.lighten-up.net/plus.php

My box is much older and clunkier looking than what they make now. I would assume the box's they make now are just as good if not better.
they are kinda spendy, but you can often find them on craig's list and ebay.
