Berry Wednesday

I had a bad morning. The girl was tired I think and determined to throw tantrums and stand her ground on every, single, little, bitty, thing. The kids couldn't agree on anything to do.

Finally the boy headed off to do a project with his Dad and the girl and I headed out to pick berries. Even though I had stresses bouncing around inside my head on the way there, when I returned to the van with raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and honey sticks, I realized I'd forgotten all my worries during our expedition. What a lovely gift. Time with my girl without tantrums and with delicious fruit and beautiful chickens I might add.

The worries returned but I am thankful that there was a small oasis in the middle of my Mama day that wasn't harried, or worried or headache inducing. Yay for berry picking.

Thanks Krugers Farm!

  1. picking berries has the same affect on me as hanging laundry on the clothes line. so relaxing and living in the moment. hang in there.
